RE: Gonna be a daddy!

Congratuations!! There are many wonderful things about children. But one of the most wonderful things about children are that you could be having the worst day and you come home and they give you a big hug, kiss and smile and all is well in the world again. I wish you and your wife a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery. Jennifer

My 2002 was 2800#'s. So 3200#'s sounds about right.

RE: No sway control ='s disaster

That is just my worst possible nightmare. What a terrible thing. I hope everyone got out with little to no bodily injury. And yes, YOU HAVE TO HAVE SWAY CONTROL!!!!!!!

RE: Stupid question about hitch...

With our prior WDH we left the bars in the storage compartment and the hitch on the car. With the new bigger/heavier hitch, I take it off and put it in the back of my SUV and the bars are in storage. Just because it sticks out so far and when trying to walk around the vehicle or get into the trunk, I would always trip on it. Not sure why. The old one was just smaller and lighter.

RE: Hybrid Camper- Hot in the summertime?

kittlebert, our prior camper was a hybrid. I just sewed two space blankets together and drapped them over each tent end and then used some clamps to hold it down. The popupgizmos only cover the very top of the tent ends. My blankets covered the top and all sides. This was especially useful for both cold retention and blocking the sun in the mornings while sleeping. The space blankets are also a whole lot cheaper. And hi to a fellow South Carolinian. Jennifer

RE: Opinion on 2005 Trail-Lite Trail Cruiser C-19

We recently traded up from a 2002 C19 Trail Cruiser. We loved it. It was just too small. We did not have the first bit of trouble with ours. I thought it was a very well made unit. I am sure you will enjoy yours. Jennifer

RE: New Trail-Lite owner here!

Enjoy your new home on wheels. We had a Trail-Cruiser prior to our new unit and very much enjoyed it. Just upgrated for more space and no set up. Jennifer

RE: Mounting LCD TV on wall?

http://inlinethumb22.webshots.com/40469/2033802870103100053S425x425Q85.jpg We added this one to our TT recently. Where the arm is mounted is a stud. I knew this from the specs I got from the factory. We leave the TV mounted while traveling with no problems. We just bungee cord it down so it does not move freely. Jennifer

RE: SC Up-country

Some of the state parks in that area will accomodate a 40' MH. When you view the sites on http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/ the size is noted and from my experience they are very accurate. So you should be ok. I am not sure about the road conditions of Hwy 11 so I will not comment. Jennifer

RE: Columbia area

Sesqui State Park is not far off of 77 or 20. It is your normal state park. Roads in campground are not paved but fair. For one night, you would be fine. Based on the guide to Walmart overnight parking, the ones in the northeast part of Columbia (Two Notch Road or Killian Rd) allow overnight parking. The Two Notch Rd location is just off of I-20 and the Killian Rd location (brand new store) is just off of I-77. PM me if I can be of anymore specific help. Jennifer

RE: Electric Tongue Jack

We have the Barker 3000. Our North Trail has a 500# tongue weight and in order to get our Blue Ox Sway Pro hooked up, we have to crank the trailer and car up a good bit to get the bars on. And we have no problems. Jennifer

RE: Best Myrtle Beach Campground Beach

The best depends on what you are looking for. Ocean Lakes, Pirateland, Lakewood are all about the same. Lots of spots, very close together, full hookups usually, sites on or near the beach, lots of rental houses, lots of activity in the summer with golf carts and the general population humming about, and lots of activities. I have never stayed at the KOA and the Myrtle Beach Travel Park but have seen good things about both. Myrtle Beach State Park would be the cheapest. I have stayed their twice and would stay there again. Especially in the summer months. A little less traffic. There is no pool. But that does not bother me. I would rather be on the beach anyway. It is very wooded and shaded. Sites are more spacious, some have full HU's, bath houses are good, personnel friendly. Very short walk to the beach. There is also Willow Tree Campground in Longs, SC. Not far from the beach but definitely a car ride, too far to walk. But it is absolutely beautiful. Much slower pace, less traffic, on a small lake. So like I said, it depends on what you are looking for. Good luck with your pick. Jennifer

RE: Ocean lakes Campground

I can't comment on anything north of NC but I-95 to SC38 to 501 S to 544 would work great IMO. Not sure when you last came down but 544 is now four lanes. So the loooonnnngg drive down 544 is easier. 544 deadends into Ocean Lakes. Hope this helps some. Jennifer

RE: Newbie for Sequoia and Armada owners

I pull a 6000 LB TT with a 05 Toyota Sequoia with a Blue Ox Sway Pro and have no problems. Yes, I won't win any races uphill but I am not in a hurry. Check out this guys website. It will make you feel better. I know I did after reading it. http://www.paushe.com/ Jennifer

RE: James Island County Park at Christmas?

Agree with redy2go as far as reservations. You need to call asap to get a site. There really is no bad site there. We have stayed on both sides and have no preference. I highly recommend JICP at Christmas. Last year was my first and not my last. By far the best way to see the lights is to be in the park at the campground. Otherwise the traffic and wait is terrible. You pull right out of the campground and make the drive around and then right back into the campground. Effortless. Good luck on the reservations. Hope you can make it. Jennifer
